My Top 5 Favorite Albums

Okay, okay, I'm probably just like you and can't decide on a definitive top 5 albums, but here are 5 albums I will always be rather fond of.

1. Weezer's Blue Album. After their second album Pinkerton, it was all downhill. They proved it was hip to be square.

Favorite Track: Say It Ain't So.

Favorite Video: Buddy Holly

Favorite line: "I talked for hours to your wallet photograph and you just listened. You laughed enchanted by my intellect. Or maybe you didn't." from The World Has Turned and Left Me Here.

2. The Bends by Radiohead - If you're gonna make me chooose between my Radiohead albums, I gotta go with The Bends. But OK Computer and Kid A are right behind.

Favorite Track: Black Star

Favorite Video: Just

Favorite Line: "He used to do surgery for girls in the eighties, but gravity always wins." from Fake Plastic Trees.

3. Deja Entendu by Brand New - These guys caught lightning in a bottle with this album.

Favorite Track: Okay I Believe You But My Tommy Gun Don't

Favorite Video: Sic Transit Gloria

Favorite Line: "And I wish for one more day to give my love and to repay debts, but the morning finds our bodies washed up thirty miles west." From Play Crack the Sky.

4. Third Eye Blind by Third Eye Blind - This is an oldie, but goodie.

Favorite Track: Motorcycle Drive By

Favorite Video: I had never seen a Third Eye Blind video before. I watched a few. They are terrible.

Favorite Line: "And there's this burning like there's always been. I've never felt so alone and I've never felt so alive." from Motorcycle Drive By.

5. The Suburbs by Arcade Fire - This won Album of the Year at the Grammy's (for what that's worth). Their first albums Funeral and Neon Bible have fantastic songs, but The Suburbs album is solid throughout.

Favorite Track: We Used to Wait. (Holy crap it's good. Listen here)

Favorite Video: Well, I don't think they have any videos for The Suburbs yet, so here is an awesome video from the Funeral album called Tunnels.

Favorite Line: "Now it seems strange how we used to wait for letters to arrive. But what's stranger still is how something so small can keep you alive." From We Used To Wait.

Here is a really cool video/experience thing from Arcade Fire. Try it, I think you'll like it. http://thewildernessdowntown.com/
